Advanced tag search

Since tags are more and more used for all kind purposes, i thought it would be very useful if we could search the post tags, just like a “normal” search page, only now we are using tags.

At first i wrote this plugin for my own use, but i thought other WP users would like it as well, so here it is.

How to use ?
Install the plugin as you used to. After the install process, add a new page and add the following shortcode [ tagsarchive ] (without the spaces), followed by a hit on the publish button, and you are ready to go.

For now it has the following options:

• search a tag which looks like your input (LIKE % $input %)
• search a tag which is exactly your input
• show/hide how many times it is used for posts
• order by times used or tag name
• sort ascending/descending

The following CSS classes and divisions are added to this plugin so you are able to customize the look in your own stylesheet.
In case of future update’s, no styles are overwritten.

There is no admin page since it would be useless.

Upgrades for the next releases:

• search category specified
• search on times used

Version 1.1

• Fixed: error message added if both fields (tagname like and tagname is) are empty.

Version 1.2

• Fixed: shows no tags anymore which have a usage of 0.
